> Why do I need iResults?

How many calls come into the laboratory each day asking for status on pending case work? How long does it take for completed analysis reports to get back to your submitting and affiliated agencies? JusticeTrax answers these and many more questions with iResults for LIMS-plus. We understand that the time it takes to produce these reports is what the laboratory needs to focus on, not answering calls for status, and sending the reports to detectives, prosecutors and public defenders. iResults was designed with this in mind.

With the iResults interface, the requesting agency will be given limited reviewing authorization to log in and verify the case status 24 hours a day, eliminating calls for case status completely. When reporting information is available, it will be auto-uploaded and approved agencies will be able to view it without delay. This alone will create a much more efficient process for the laboratories administrative staff.

With the addition of iResults to the current LIMS-plus implementation, your lab can rapidly transmit information and reports to your criminal justice partners. This information sharing capability between criminal justice professionals, including responding officers and detectives, prosecutors, public defenders, and judges will extend significant improvements beyond your laboratory. In fact, improvements in case processing will be seen all the way through to your court proceedings.

> What makes iResults so great?

Much like our iPrelog application, deploying iResults to your agencies is as simple as providing access to a secure url, and maintains a separate database on a Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS). This means that the information you want your user agencies to know about the cases submitted to the lab is kept separate from your main LIMS database.

The benefits of the application can be easily extended beyond the labs submitting agencies to prosecutors and public defenders. By accessing the web-portal, and logging in securely, the representative has a view of the case as it progresses through the laboratory, from Received, to In-Progress, and finally to Completed. Once the final report has been released by the lab, the “Completed” status will turn into a link to the final report. The representative will be able to view the report on their screen and print it out right from their computer. This rapid transmission of information and reports to your criminal justice partners will ultimately reduce inefficiencies not just in the laboratory, but throughout the adjudication process.
